Today is THANKSGIVING, and my mom decided to start the day bright and early at 7 AM because she’s off to a turkey trot while I have to stay home. But hey, that’s okay, because she did let me out for a quick bathroom break before diving into my breakfast. And Thanks to my new water bowl, I’m no longer making a splash all over the floor—apparently, that used to tick her off. While I was gobbling up my food, she snuck out, but honestly, I think she missed me and returned real quick.

Then, she decided it was time for a walk around the block. She’s all about getting me to be a pet therapy dog, but let’s be honest, I’ve got too much energy for that leash. Trying my best here, but mom’s patience was wearing thin. Anyway, it’s Thanksgiving, and even though she gets a little mad because I wont stop pulling, I know she adores me.

Post-walk, she made us a cozy fire, and guess what? It’s where I’m parked for the rest of the day, watching the Packers Game until mom ditches me (AGAIN!) to go work at the hospital. I get it, she’s helping others, but come on, it’s Thanksgiving!

My mom doesn’t serve me human food. But I’ve been thinking about food all morning and I won’t be joining the Thanksgiving feast like all those dogs at the park the other day were howling about. But guess what? I caught her writing a blog about Thanksgiving treats for us furry pals. Fingers crossed for something extra special on our celebration day tomorrow!

I’ll do my nap routine/play while she’s away, scouting out the squirrels in the yard. I’ll be looking forward to her return tonight, but I know it will be a fast bathroom break for me before heading right to bed. Sending woofs to all my fellow dogs and dog lovers—have a paw-some Thanksgiving.
